What is our star rating and quality of accommodation and service?
We are a 4 star self-rated property and being a condominium (strata-unit) complex. As such, rooms of the same configuration may have slight differences in layout, style, and furnishings. We do not have room service, porters or car parking attendants and our reception is not open 24 hours per day.
Are linen and towels provided?
All linen is provided in the apartments, and all of our apartments come fully equipped with laundry facilities for your use during your stay. Should you require extra linen or amenities during your stay, we can arrange this for an additional charge.
Pool towels can be hired at Reception for an additional fee.
Can I have my apartment serviced daily like a hotel?
Our apartments are not serviced daily as we are self-contained apartments, bookings of 8 nights or more receive a mid-stay service. If you do wish to have a daily service it can be arranged for a fee.
Do the apartments have air-conditioning?
All of our apartments have reverse cycle air conditioning and some units are also fitted with ceiling fans as an alternative to using the air conditioning.
Do you have cots available to hire?
Yes, we have cot hire available for $40 per stay.
Please be sure to notify our staff of your cot requirements at the time of making your booking. We arrange the cots through an external hire company, so if you need to change your requirements, please notify us within 24 hours of your arrival.
Can I smoke in the room?
All Rolling Surf Resort apartments and guest areas are non-smoking, including vapes, cigarettes, e-cigarettes. We ask that you refrain from smoking in your apartment or public areas. Evidence of smoking in rooms will incur a cleaning fee payable by the guest. Management reserves the right to breach for smoke nuisance.
Does the resort supply amenities?
As we are self-contained apartments, a small starter pack is provided with a few essential items to get you through the first day or so. These items are not replenished during the stay.

Do you require a bond or security deposit?
Yes, a bond of $500 is required for security at check-in (name-matching reservation). We accept Cash, Visa and Mastercard only.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa & UnionPay payments.
Are there any security requirements upon check in?
You will be required to provide a credit card imprint at check-in to cover incidental charges (credit card must be valid and belong to the person who is registering).
The person registering at check-in must be at least 18 years of age. In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, we will ask you to provide photo ID at check-in to ensure that your identity matches the booking identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID may be retained to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of disputation. Please note a 1.25% credit card surcharge applies for all transactions.
Do you allow pets?
No animals of any kind are permitted in the complex without the prior approval of the Body Corporate. Guests who bring animals into the complex may be evicted without the right to a refund.
Do you allow service animals?
Rolling Surf Resort accepts guide, hearing, and/or assistance dogs in accordance with both the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009 and Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. All certified animals must display the Queensland Government approved patch on their coat or harness, in addition to a copy of the Handler Identity Card being provided prior to check in. The ID presented on the Handler Identity Card must match the handler onsite. Failure to meet the above requirements will result in pets being excluded from the property. For the purpose of this policy, therapy and emotional support pets are not permitted on the property.
Guide, hearing or assistance dogs may be vacated from the Resort if that animal’s behaviour poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Rolling Surf Resort accepts no responsibility for approved guide, hearing, and/or assistance dogs.
Do you accept 'Schoolies' bookings?
No, we do not accept Schoolies bookings. Our property does not have the policies, procedures, or resources in place to meet the unique needs of Schoolies groups.
Can I have a party?
Rolling Surf Resort has a strict “No Party Policy”. Parties/functions are not permitted at the Rolling Surf Resort and all family celebrations must cease by 10pm.
A maximum of 10 people is allowed in any apartment, courtyard or on any rooftop area at one time (this includes children & infants). If there is any breach of this policy, an excess cleaning fee will be applied.
Check In & Departure
What is the Check-In Time? Can I have an early check in?
Check-in time is at 2pm. As rooms need to be cleaned after guest departure, rooms cannot be guaranteed until this time.
Some days we can arrange an early check-in by rearranging the cleaning schedule or allocation of another room, but an administration fee will apply. If you arrive early, you are welcome to store your luggage and use the property facilities at no additional charge.
What is the Check-Out Time? Can I have an late check out?
Check-out time is 10.00am.
All late check-out requests must be pre-arranged and approved with reception, as they are based on availability. Please note that this has an additional fee.
What are the Reception hours?
Monday – Friday: 8.30am – 5pm
Saturday: 9am – 4pm
Sunday: 9am – 12pm
Public Holidays: Subject to change
What if I am arriving late and outside of reception hours?
If you are arriving outside of reception hours, please contact Reception at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

Is the accommodation suitable for families?
Yes, Rolling Surf Resort is perfect for families. Our spacious self-contained apartments offer the comfort of home with fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, and separate living areas.
With a choice of 1, 2, and 3 Bedroom Apartments, there’s plenty of room for everyone.
What's the maximum number of guests per apartment?
As per Queensland Fire Regulations:
- 1 Bedroom Apartment – 2 people
- 2 Bedroom Apartment – 4 people
- 3 Bedroom Apartment – 6 people
This does include infants and babies. This ruling will be strictly adhered to.
Children aged 0-2 are included in price if using existing bedding. Please note we do have cots available to hire at $40 per stay. Children aged 3 years+ are at adult rates.
Can we request a specific view or level?
Yes, you’re welcome to request a particular view or apartment level when booking. While we’ll always do our best to accommodate requests, they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, we do have a luggage room available so that you can leave your bags on arrival or departure.

Facilities
Do you have wi-fi?
Yes, all apartments have access to free, unlimited wi-fi. The login details are provided at check-in.
Is parking available, and is it free?
Yes, one secure undercover parking space is available to guests per apartment.
Do you have a pool and is it heated?
Yes, we have a 60 metre resort pool, which is partially heated. We also have a shallow wading area and reclining sun loungers.
What are your other facilities?
While at Rolling Surf Resort, you will have access to all of our facilities!

Are lifts available?
Yes, we have elevators in both towers.
Do you have charging for electric vehicles?
No, unfortunately we do not have facilities for charging electric vehicles.

The nearest airport is Sunshine Coast Airport, approximately a 35-minute drive from Rolling Surf Resort. You can reach us by taxi, rideshare, shuttle, or car hire for a convenient and easy journey to the resort.

Is it safe to swim at the beach?
Yes, Kings Beach is generally safe for swimming, with patrolled areas during peak times. We always recommend swimming between the flags and following local safety signs. Keep an eye on children and weaker swimmers, and be aware of tides and surf conditions.
